'On tu i jo ens trobem' is the first collection of works I’ve painted after a long period of research in the shadows and following the death of my father, the painter Andreu Fresquet.
It is in his studio—where, as a child, I learned to love painting and art as a tool for freedom and a way of loving life—that I’ve been able to articulate this series. It is born from this vital moment, but also from all the visual research I’ve carried out around new landscapes or landscapes of the future.
Like me, the collection is crossed by this moment—my father’s death. It draws from it, but like life, painting goes on. The love for life and the search for new images that allow us to imagine other worlds to live in, continues.
